It all started with a big idea. Mr C's Art 4 class planned, procured a space, and curated the event...

The night of the big event, hundreds of Shelby County residents came to see the 1st annual SCPS District Art Show...

Plans were already in motion for the next year's showcase. Then the Covid-19 Pandemic hit and changed everything...

When we finally left NTI and came back to school in October, things were hopeful, but it was apparent that an in-person show wasn't going to happen...

Out of necessity, the 1st ever Virtual District Art Show was born...

We sincerely hope you enjoy the artwork your loved ones have created this year!

Special thanks to Elaine Clark, Matt Cockrell, Maree Collins, Kyle Gray, Katherine Holder, Zach Hypes, Allison Keenan, Denise McClain, and Melissa Molohon for submitting work to the show. This show would not be possible without their continued support. Each one of my colleagues does an excellent job of not only keeping the arts alive, but of kindling a continued passion for the Arts in our students! I for one, am thankful to work in a district where Arts education is valued and appreciated.
